All people living on the Coeur d'Alene Reservation: Poverty rate, overall

These data come from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey.  They are based on averages of data collected in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.  These estimates cannot be used to say what is going on in any particular year in the period, only what the average value is over the full period.  Some reservations have no data reported due to their small populations.

The poverty rate is the percentage of people living below the poverty level or “threshold.” Each year, the U.S. Office of Management and Budget establishes a series of poverty thresholds for different family sizes and ages of household heads.

Among those on the Coeur d'Alene Reservation in 2006-2010. . .

  • The poverty rate was 16 percent.

  • 1,114 people lived in households with an income below the poverty level.

Please note that ORTL stands for Off-Reservation Trust Land.

Note: NA = Not Available. The Bureau does not report data for all reservations for all reference years.
