All people living on the Nez Perce Reservation: Educational attainment

These data come from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey, data.census.gov. They are based on averages of data collected in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. These estimates cannot be used to say what is going on in any particular year in the period, only what the average value is over the full period. Some reservations have no data reported due to their small populations.

Among all people 25 years and older on the Nez Perce Reservation in 2016-2020...
  • 9.4 percent had no high school diploma, compared to 18.4 percent in 2000;

  • 33.6 percent had a high school diploma or equivalent;

  • 39.8 percent had some college, but not a four-year degree;

  • 17.2 percent had a bachelor's or college degree, compared to 14.0 percent in 2000.
Please note that ORTL stands for Off-Reservation Trust Land.

Note: " Some College, No Degree" includes associate degree. NA = Not Available. The Bureau does not report data for all reservations for all reference years. These ACS data are estimates based on a five-year average, meaning that data gathered from 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 are averaged together to come up with the results shown here. There is no problem with comparing these data to census data from 2000. For a technical discussion of the "margins of error" associated with ACS estimates, please see: (https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/acs/guidance/training-presentations/acs-moe.html)
