Twin Falls: Weekly unemployment claims

COVID-19 has affected the economy in many ways one of which is unemployment claims. Initial unemployment claims refers to the number of new claims filed by people who are applying for unemployment benefits. Reported at the state level, continued unemployment claims refers to the number of people who previously filed for unemployment and continue to receive weekly benefits.
 
     For the week ending with October 17th, 2020, Twin Falls had
  • 72 initial unemployment claims, compared to 69 initial claims the previous week, and 1,037 claims during the week ending March 28th, 2020.
